The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge promises a fun filled weekend for the whole family during the Thanksgiving holiday with a selection of activities and events which are sure to entertain both the children and adults alike, including pumpkin carving, scavenger hunts, movies, horse drawn wagon rides, candy apple decorating, bike & hike tours, family bingo, and even a ghost tour!
Holiday dining options abound at the JPL with the famous Thanksgiving Sunday Brunch being served in ORSO Trattoria from 11am-1pm costing $45 for adults and $22.50 for kids 6-12yrs, and on Sunday evening the Beauvert Room is offering a Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet from 5.30pm-8.30pm for $79 with kids 6-12 years half price.

Ember’s Steakhouse at Marmot Lodge is offering a $39.99 three course Thanksgiving dinner on October 13 2019 which includes either a roasted parsnip soup or seasonal greens with goat cheese to start, followed by a choice of 3 main courses; traditional roasted turkey with stuffing, buttermilk mash & gravy, OR grilled Alberta striploin steak with a mushroom bacon port sauce, OR wild mushroom pappardelle. To finish, choose from pumpkin cheesecake with whipped cream, or house chocolate mousse smores style.

Authentic Burger at The Crimson Jasper will host a Thanksgiving Dinner on October 13 for $29. For the main event there will be roast turkey with traditional stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, and Brussels sprouts. With roasted pumpkin soup or Fall greens to start, this hearty dinner will be rounded off with sticky toffee pudding and vanilla bean ice cream.

The Pines Restaurant at Pyramid Lake Resort is offering a Thanksgiving dinner on October 13th from 5-9pm. Costing $39, the delicious menu includes roasted carrot soup with ginger cream & chive, or a salad of Fall greens, apples, almonds and goat cheese. The main course is a choice between traditional roasted stuffed turkey thigh with the usual trimmings, or seared salmon with fingerling potatoes & wilted kale. Dessert is equally decadent featuring cranberry creme brulee with white chocolate biscotti, or chocolate truffle slice with hazelnut cream.

Walter’s Dining Room at Sawridge Inn will be offering a sumptuous Thanksgiving Brunch on October 13th from 10.45am-2.30pm, costing $36 for adults and $18 for children under 16 yrs. Breakfast Classics include Sawridge Bennies, pancakes & syrup, and buttermilk scrambled eggs, while among the appetizing entrees you will find slow roasted turkey breast, pork belly with brown sugar, braised lamb with garlic, mushrooms & caramelized onions, plus a seafood stew with coconut, curry & cilantro. The selection of desserts does not disappoint, with ‘build your own’ crepes, dulce de leche bread pudding, and apple fritters.

Chateau Jasper is offering a Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet at Silverwater Grill & Lounge on Sunday October 13 5-10pm, costing $29.95. On the menu you will find a variety of salads, roasted turkey with gravy, salmon bites with tomato caper sauce, roasted ham with grilled pineapple, creamy mac and cheese, plus a selection of desserts.

Many other Jasper National Park hotels are likely to have special dinner menus for Thanksgiving weekend, and at the time of writing (Oct 9) there are rooms available at many hotels in Jasper for Friday October 11 and Sunday October 13 2019, however availability for Saturday October 12 is becoming limited. Being a holiday weekend, availability is likely to become limited for all dates and early reservations are recommended.
